In just a few days, we will be beginning our vacation of a lifetime! Mark and I will be flying to Saudi Arabia to visit our middle daughter, Katherine, her husband, Moe, and several members of his family. I am so excited to get to see where she is living, meet some more members of Moe's family and learn more about the country of Saudi Arabia and their culture and customs.
Katherine and Moe met when they were both students at Purdue. After dating for about a year and a half Moe proposed to Katherine and the paperwork began. It took about 13 months of continuous paperwork (and a lawyer to help) to get all the United States' requirements fulfilled for him to receive the fiance visa. During this time he was in Saudi Arabia and was not allowed to come back to the United States until the visa was issued and the wedding was ready to take place They were married December 15, 2013. After some more paper work, they were able to leave toward the end of January and begin their new life together in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Moe works as a production engineer in a plastics manufacturing company in Jeddah. Katherine is a graphic designer and does some free lance work over the computer. They are perfect for each other and we are very happy to welcome Moe into our family.
